Artist's Description
An old oak branch frames the rear of the house at Drayton Hall, an 18th-century plantation and National Historic Landmark located in Charleston, South Carolina. It is an outstanding example of Palladian architecture in North America. Drayton Hall is the only plantation house on the Ashley River to survive intact through both the Revolutionary and Civil wars.
