Massive, old oak trees gracefully dot the landscape at Hampton Plantation located in McClellanville, South Carolina. Hampton Plantation, established in 1725, was once a thriving 1200 acre rice plantation. Its main house exhibits one of the earliest known examples in the United States of a temple front in domestic architecture and is one of the state's finest examples of a wood frame Georgian plantation house. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970, it is now a historic site of the South Carolina state park system.
Hi! and thank you for visiting. I live in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina and specialize in landscape photography. I love to roam Southern gardens, plantations and parks and photograph their beauty. My passion is creating unique images that inspire others, and my work has been both awarded and published. So, take a few moments to browse and hopefully, one of my images will speak specifically to you. Blessings!

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
