Convict Lake is just one of the lakes that make up the Mammoth Lakes basin in California. Situated in the Sherwin Range of the Sierra Nevada mountains, it is known for its turquoise-blue water, the dramatic mountains that surround it, and the trout fishing it affords. A three mile path around the lake offers beautiful views of the lake and its surrounding mountains.
