Tenaya Lake, located in Yosemite National Park, CA, sits in the alpine region of the park between Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows. At an elevation of 8,150 feet it is referred to as the "Jewel of the High Country". With a white sandy beach, it is popular for sunbathing as well as kayaking, paddle boarding, boating and swimming.
