Colorful canoes await riders at Old Santee Canal Park, a 195-acre park located along the Cooper River in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. The Santee Canal, chartered in 1786 and completed in 1800, was the first summit canal built in America. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The park, which hosts numerous footpaths and a museum, was constructed in 1989 near the southernmost section of the Santee Canal.
Hi! and thank you for visiting. I live in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina and specialize in landscape photography. I love to roam Southern gardens, plantations and parks and photograph their beauty. My passion is creating unique images that inspire others, and my work has been both awarded and published. So, take a few moments to browse and hopefully, one of my images will speak specifically to you. Blessings!
