Layers of mountains are visible from this half-way point on the trail to the summit at Elk Knob State Park located in Todd, North Carolina. Elk Knob State Park features one of the highest peaks in North Carolina’s high country at 5,520 feet and a well maintained trail to the spectacular views from the summit.
