The Amicalola State Park and Lodge - northeast of Dawsonville, Georgia - provides the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the Appalachian Mountains. The lodge, only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail, sits on the cusp of the North Georgia Mountains and is within the Chattahoochee National Forest.
