The small Tennessee town of Elizabethton, Tennessee is home to Blue Hole Falls, a hidden wonder tucked away in the famed Cherokee National Forest known for its lush landscapes and recreational opportunities. The forest itself was officially welcomed into the National Forest fold by the US Forest Service in June of 1920 and now boasts 655,598 acres in total. Within the forest you'll find all sorts of opportunities for outdoor recreation, like camping, hiking, driving along the Cherohala Skyway, or whitewater rafting. Blue Hole Falls, accessible by way of a half-mile hiking loop, is absolutely stunning and a suitable adventure for the whole family.
